MCG~
February 20, 1981
Paqe Two

~

!

Much time has been lost in the study schedules due to the
difficulty in obtaining acceptable mapping and particularly in
receiving accurate field surveys, We would like to emphasize
that had ponderosa Engineering been willing to supply all field
surveys as requested, better mapping could have resulted. However,
it now appears that we can finally instruct the engineering firms
to proceed with completing their studies.

We have been advised by Kucera and Associates that they will
not release the final maps until they receive final payment.
In our last communications with Mr. Chuck Rupp of ponderosa
Engineering, the prime mapping contractor, he has advised us that
a mutual agreement for final payment does exist between his firm
and Kucera and Associates.

We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to
the parties involved for their cooperation in bringing this mapping .
dispute to a satisfactory end.

A meeting with the engineering firms will be held upon receipt
of the maps and cross-sections, so the studies can be realigned
and directed toward completion.

';Z~Yi oL-

Larry t Lang, ';?
Chief, Flood Control and
Floodplain Management Section

LFL/sd

cc: Mr. Raymond Shoop
Fremont County Board of Commissioners

Mr. Bill Swanson
E.F.C.M.S.D.D.

Mr. Bob Robler
Canon City Engineer

Mr. T.
