Depart~ent <br />Soil Conservation Service, dated May, 1970; and <br /> <br />entitled "Flood <br />Larimer County, <br />of Agriculture, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested <br />by the Boad of County Commissioners of Larimer county, by <br />resolution No.9, adopted June 3, 1970, approved and designated <br />the floodplains described in said report; and <br /> <br />\ <br />/ <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled" Master Drainageway planning <br />Study, Cooper Slough, Boxelde~ Creek, City of Fort Collins, <br />Larimer County," dated August, 1981, has been prepared by Simons, <br />Li & Associates, Inc.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Count.y Commissioners of Larimer County <br />and the City of Fort Collins nave requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to des ignate and approve the floodplain areas <br />as set forth in the aforesaid' re.port; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />1973, requires <br />the prevention <br /> <br />Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />the Colorado Wate.r Conservation Board to a~sis~ in <br />of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, prov ide that such leg islat ive bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />128 <br />res (205) <br />
