<br />the channel had been reduced to the point where it could be handled by the
<br />
<br />remaining crossings. Then, using these reduced channel flows, flood eleva~
<br />ticns were determined from the rating Curves at each crossing structure.
<br />Between crossings the elevations were interpolated based on channel rating
<br />data. This procedure yields flood profiles that reflect existing condi _
<br />ticns within an accuracy of about 0.5 feet. This level of accuracy is
<br />within the tolerances allowable for damage calculations.
<br />The arca inundated by the flows leaving the channel were determined
<br />in the field utilizing street flow capacities, field surveys and existing
<br />
<br />topographicrnaps, (ReferenceS).
<br />The resulting floodplains and flood profiles are presented on Sheets 1
<br />through 10.
