Box 4064, Wichita, <br />Kansas 67204. The Contract was awarded on 19 June 1979. <br /> <br />PART II - OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE <br /> <br />CHAPTER 3 - GENERAL. <br /> <br />3-01 Regulations. Regulations for operation and maintenance of local flood <br />protection works are published in Section 208.10, Title 33 of the Code of <br />Federal Regulations. The pertinent requirements contained in these <br />regulations for the operation and maintenance of the structures are presented <br />in subsequent paragraphs of this chapter and Chapter 4. Compliance with <br />these requirements is one of the conditions ~equired of local cooperation. <br />The structures shall be continously maintained in such a manner and operated <br />at such times and for such periods as may be necessary to obtain the maximum <br />benefits. <br /> <br />4 <br />
