The <br />basis of maintenance costs for drainaqe and flood control <br />facilities is listed in Table 10. ;\rmual maintenance costs <br />are presented in Appendix A for each s:eqnent. <br /> <br />Detention Pond Maintenance: Once the construction of a de- <br />tention pond is complet:ed and a good sod cover has d,~veloped, <br />a detention pond requires a minimum of maintenance. <br /> <br />Debris removal is required wl1enev'~r high watE,r occurs. <br />Regular inspections of the ponds should be made to spot <br />needed repairs. Rills or waEihes on I:he dam and spillway should <br />be filled, compacted, and reEiodd,ed.
