The overflow would occur for a 100-year storm event. Be-
cause of the flatness and development in the area, it is impossible
to determine the actual depth of flooding and the exact limits of
inundation. Under the Federal Insurance Administration guidelines,
the flood hazard zone or insurance rate zone for this area would
be AD. This zone is defined as follows:

"Special flood hazard areas with shallow flood depths and/or
unpredictable flood flow paths (sheet flooding)."

For areas of this type, the FIA does not determine base flood eleva-
tions or flood hazard factors.

The approximate limits shown on the maps have been delineated by
field investigation. All areas within the designated area may not
be inundated by flood waters. We would estimate that the maximum
depth of inundation would range from 1-2 feet. In other areas, out-
side of street gutters, flood depths would average from about 2 to
6 inches.

During the field investigation it was noted that most buildings in
the area had been constructed with first flood elevations well above
any potential flood level from Weir Gulch flooding.
