Weller
Subject: Central City Eureka Creek Storm Sewer
Page 2.

At this point it appears that the einergency repairs
~ay be made for not less than $5000.00 and possibly may
run as high as $10,000.00. It is realized that this is
a short term resolution of a serious problem, anD ,he City
Council will need to take steps to work out a long term
solution in order to avoid losing storm sewer tunnels
"two or three years from 110W.

Mr. Frederick Paddock, a registered engineer, has
gone unoel"ground ,,'i th l1r. Richard Bag,,'el1, Commiss:.oner
of Public Works for Central City, and examined the walls,
top and bottom of the Eureka Storm Sewer. Their findings
indicate that the worst sections are under the Toll Gate
Building, and down stream from there under the Parking
Lots. They are in agreement on the estimate in the fore-
going paragraph.

.

Very Truly Yours,

~~ ~0-u.~

Berkley Brannon
City Administrator

.

:J-~4/, ~

Frederick W.
