GENERAL CONTRACT CONDITIONS GC-l Scope. These General Contract conditions consist of general items of in format i on and requi rements needed for the many and vari ed construction contracts of the Owner. The intent of this part of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS is to provide for a body of information and directions to the CONTRACTOR which will decrease the chances for misunderstanding between the CONTRACTOR and the OWNER. GC-2 Definitions. Wherever used in the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, terms shall have the meani ngs indicated which shall be both the singular and plural thereof: the following applicable to 2.01 ADDENDA - Written or graphic instruments issued prior to the execution of the agreement which modify or interpret the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS, by additions, deletions, clarifications or corrections. 2.02 BID - The offer or proposal of the BIDDER submitted on the prescribed form setting forth the prices for the WORK to be performed. 2.03 BIDDER - Any person, firm or corporation submitting a BID for the WORK. 2.04 BONDS - Bid, Performance, and Payment Bonds and other instruments or security, furnished by the CONTRACTOR and his surety in accordance with the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. 2.05 CHANGE ORDER - A written order to the CONTRACTOR authorizing an addition, deletion or revision in the WORK the general scope of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, or authorizing an adjustment in the CONTRACT PRICE or CONTRACT TIME. 2.06 AGREEMENT - The 1 egal CONTRACT between the CONTRACTOR and the OWNER. 2.07 CONTRACT DOCUMENTS - The entire CONTRACT consists of several documents and instruments, some of whi ch may be bound separately or whi ch are incorporated by reference. The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS consist of, but are not necessarily limited to: - Advertisement for Bids (or Invitation for Bids) - Instructions to Bidders - General Contract Conditions Supplemental General Conditions - Proposal Form and Bidder's Proposal - Bid Bond IV-3 (1667-3/90)
