Under the President's Emergency Preparedness Reorganization Plan, a

number of the agencies listed in this inventory will become part of the

Federal Emergency Management Agency, which will include:

Federal Disaster Assistance Administration of the Department of
Housing and Urban Development
Federal Insurance Administration of the Department of Housing
and Urban Development
National Fire Prevention and Control Administration of the
Department of Commerce
Community preparedness programs of the National Weather Service of
the Department of Commerce
Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program of the Office of Science and
Technology, Executive Office of the President
Dam Safety Coordination Program of the Office of Science and
Technology, Executive Office of the President
Federal Emergency Broadcast System Oversight Responsibility of
the Office of Science and Technology, Executive Office of
the President.

,The new agency will also have responsibilities for coordinating emergency
