<br />along any storm or floodwater <br />designation and approval by <br />Board; and <br /> <br />runoff channel or basin only after <br />the Colorado Water Conservation <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, <br />directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make <br />such designations available to' legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said revised <br />information and data and does hereby recommend to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that the Board designate and approve as <br />floodplain areas those areas inundated by a 1 DO-year flood <br />(intermediate regional flood) as described by the floodwater <br />surface elevations and profiles in said new report, and further <br />recommends that the floodwater surface elevations and profiles <br />for the Colorado River, Rifle, Government and Hubbard Gulch <br />Creeks within the corporate limits of the City of Rifle, <br />Garfield County, Colorado, as approved by Resolution No. 22, <br />adopted July 11, 1973, not be rescinded; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board finds that the flood hazard <br />data in the reports dated APl:'il, 1973; and January 3, 1986, <br />to be similar, and the community may use either for the <br />administration of its floodplain management programs; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />this 16th day of January, 1986, that it does hereby designate and <br />approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being <br />inundated by a 1 DO-year flood as described by the floodwater <br />surface elevations and profiles in said new report, dated <br />January 3, 1986; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is <br />directed to send a certified COpy of this resolution to the City <br />of Rifle, the Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County, <br />and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. <br /> <br />C E R T I F I CAT E <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a <br />resolution adopted by a majority vote of the members of the <br />ColoradO Water Conservation Board in regular session assembled at <br />Denver, Colorado, on the 16th day of January, 1986, at which a <br />quorum was present. <br /> <br /> <br />1ffI&.rvoA-- <br /> <br />William McDonald, <br /> <br />~dc( <br /> <br />Secretary <br />
