(or Owner), Contractor shall inspect and promptly report to Architect
in writing any patent or apparent defects or deficiencies in such work
that render it unsuitable for such proper execution and results. Con-
tractor's failure so to report shall constitute an acceptance of the
work as fit and proper for integration with Contractor's Work except
for latent or non-apparent defects and deficiencies in the other Work.
Such acceptance by contractor shall render him responsible for sub-
sequent correction of any such work.

B. Contractor shall do all cutting, fitting, and patching of his Work that.
may be required to make its several parts come together properly and
integrate with such other work. Contractor shall not endanger any worK
of others by cutting, excavating or otherwise altering their work and
will onlY cut or alter their work with the written consent of Archi-
tect and the others whose work will be affected.

C. If the performance of additional work by other contractors or utility
service companies or Owner was not noted in the Contract Documents,
written notice thereof shall be given to Contractor prior to starting
any such additional work. If Contractor believes that the performance
of such additional work by Owner or others involves additional expense
to Contractor or requires an extension of the Contract Time, Contractor
may make a claim therefor as provided in Parts 11 and 12.

PART 8 - OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITIES

8.01 OWNER TO COMMUNICATE THROUGH ARCHITECT

A. Owner shall issue all communications to Contractor through the Architect.

B. In case of termination of the employment of Architect, Owner shall ap-
point an engineer against whom Contractor makes no reasonable objection,
whose status under the Contract Documents shall be that of the former
Architect. Any dispute in connection with such appointment shall be
subject to arbitration.

8.02 OWNER'S OBLIGATIONS

A. Owner shall furnish the data required of Owner under the Contract Docu-
ments promptly and shall make payments to Contractor promptly after
they are due as provided in paragraphs 14.04.A and 14.09.A.

B. Owner's duties in respect of providing reference points as set forth
in paragraph 4.01.A and 4.04.A Paragraph 4.02.A refers to Owner's
identifying and making available to Contractor copies of reports of
investigations and tests of physical conditions at the site or other-
wise affecting performance of the Work which have been relied upon
by Architect in preparing the Drawings and Specifications.

8.03 OWNER'S RIGHTS

A. In connection with Owner's rights to request changes in the Work in
accordance with Part 10, Owner (especially in certain instances as
provided in paragraph 10.01.0) is obligated to execute Change Orders.
