Con- <br />tractor's failure so to report shall constitute an acceptance of the <br />work as fit and proper for integration with Contractor's Work except <br />for latent or non-apparent defects and deficiencies in the other Work. <br />Such acceptance by contractor shall render him responsible for sub- <br />sequent correction of any such work. <br /> <br />B. Contractor shall do all cutting, fitting, and patching of his Work that. <br />may be required to make its several parts come together properly and <br />integrate with such other work. Contractor shall not endanger any worK <br />of others by cutting, excavating or otherwise altering their work and <br />will onlY cut or alter their work with the written consent of Archi- <br />tect and the others whose work will be affected. <br /> <br />C. If the performance of additional work by other contractors or utility <br />service companies or Owner was not noted in the Contract Documents, <br />written notice thereof shall be given to Contractor prior to starting <br />any such additional work. If Contractor believes that the performance <br />of such additional work by Owner or others involves additional expense <br />to Contractor or requires an extension of the Contract Time, Contractor <br />may make a claim therefor as provided in Parts 11 and 12. <br /> <br />PART 8 - OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />8.01 OWNER TO COMMUNICATE THROUGH ARCHITECT <br /> <br />A. Owner shall issue all communications to Contractor through the Architect. <br /> <br />B. In case of termination of the employment of Architect, Owner shall ap- <br />point an engineer against whom Contractor makes no reasonable objection, <br />whose status under the Contract Documents shall be that of the former <br />Architect. Any dispute in connection with such appointment shall be <br />subject to arbitration. <br /> <br />8.02 OWNER'S OBLIGATIONS <br /> <br />A. Owner shall furnish the data required of Owner under the Contract Docu- <br />ments promptly and shall make payments to Contractor promptly after <br />they are due as provided in paragraphs 14.04.A and 14.09.A. <br /> <br />B. Owner's duties in respect of providing reference points as set forth <br />in paragraph 4.01.A and 4.04.A Paragraph 4.02.A refers to Owner's <br />identifying and making available to Contractor copies of reports of <br />investigations and tests of physical conditions at the site or other- <br />wise affecting performance of the Work which have been relied upon <br />by Architect in preparing the Drawings and Specifications. <br /> <br />8.03 OWNER'S RIGHTS <br /> <br />A. In connection with Owner's rights to request changes in the Work in <br />accordance with Part 10, Owner (especially in certain instances as <br />provided in paragraph 10.01.0) is obligated to execute Change Orders. <br /> <br />-15- <br />
