Cenlfal Utah Project) and Tunnels No.3 and 3A on the Main Canal 01 the Nayajo Indian Irrigation Project were substantially complete at the end of the liscal year, A diversion tunnel was dfilled at Crystal Dam, Curecanti Unit. and work began on the dam and powerpJant structures. A contract was awarded for construc- tion at a Ihin.arch concrete dam and powerplant at a cost of about $20,. 800,000-a savings of about $3,400,000 over the estimated cost of an earthfill dam at the same site, Other work this year on the unit included construction 01 an exhibit shelter and parking area lor visitors at Morrow Point Dam and a prelabricated metal warehouse at Mont. rose, Colorado, Work also began on bituminous surfacing of foads and parking areas at Morrow Point Dam, Blue Mesa Dam, and at the Power Op- 6 erations Center at Montrose.
