) Floodplain ~ Resol, No. 182 /' COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD 823 State Centennial Building 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 December 4, 1981 RES 0 ~ UTI 0 N - WHEREAS, A floodplain information report entItled "Flood Hazard Area Delineation, Blackmer Gulch Tr ibutary, Cherry Hills Village, Colorado," dated AugL1St, 1981, has been prepared by McCall-Ellingson & 110rrill, Inc., at the request of the City of Cherry Hills Village and the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District; and WHEREAS, said report des,cr ibes and outlines data and informatidn for the stor~ and floodwater or basins of the study area; and the floodplain runoff channels WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; and WHEREAS, 1973, requires the prevention Section 37-60-106( 1), Colorado Revised Statutes the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in of floods and flood damages therefrom; and WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservat ion Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as describ~d by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said report;
