<br />) <br /> <br />Floodplain ~ <br />Resol, No. 182 /' <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />December 4, 1981 <br /> <br />RES 0 ~ UTI 0 N <br />- <br /> <br />WHEREAS, A floodplain information report entItled "Flood <br />Hazard Area Delineation, Blackmer Gulch Tr ibutary, Cherry Hills <br />Village, Colorado," dated AugL1St, 1981, has been prepared by <br />McCall-Ellingson & 110rrill, Inc., at the request of the City of <br />Cherry Hills Village and the Urban Drainage and Flood Control <br />District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report des,cr ibes and outlines <br />data and informatidn for the stor~ and floodwater <br />or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />the floodplain <br />runoff channels <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District has <br />requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid <br />report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />1973, requires <br />the prevention <br /> <br />Section 37-60-106( 1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservat ion Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those <br />areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) <br />as describ~d by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in <br />said report; <br />
