Mr. Bob Shaw,CCO - Federal Insurance Administration in Denver, intro- <br />duced the Corps and State representatives to the Mesa County Commission at <br />a meeting in Grand Junction, Colorado on 18 April 1977. A list of the <br />people in attendance is inclosed (Inclosure 1). <br /> <br />2. Mr. Gene Jencsok, representing Colorado Water Conservation Board, ex- <br />plained the Board's responsibility in designating flood plain areas. <br /> <br />3. Mr. Shaw explained the procedures for converting from the emergency to <br />the actuarial insurance program, the appeal period, and the County's obli- <br />gations. Mr. Shaw then asked me to .explain the technical features. <br /> <br />4. Several questions.were answered from the 15-20 people in attendance <br />concerning the flood plains and the delineation of the floodway. However, <br />it is unlikely that there will be any complaint of the technical data. <br /> <br />5. Mr. Shaw gave the local people 30 days to respond with any technical <br />argument.
