<br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-100(1) (c), 'colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and . <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed the Flood <br />Insurance Study and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board that the Board designate and approve as flood- <br />plain areas those areas inundated by a lOa-year flood (intermediate <br />regional flood) as described by the floodwater surface elevations <br />and profiles in said report for the Blue River i willow Creek, <br />Straight Creek, Ten Mile Creek, West Ten Mile Creek, Snake River, <br />SOda Creek, and MeadOW Creek, and designate and approve as storm <br />or floodwater runoff,channels or basins those areas as delineated <br />by Zone A in said report. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vation Board in regular meeting ,assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />this 2nd day of December, 1980, that it does hereby designate and <br />approve as floodplain areas those areas ,inundated by a 100-year <br />flood as described by the floodwater surface elevations and prOfiles <br />in the Flood Insurance Study ,for the Blue River, willow Creek, <br />Straight Creek, Ten Mile Creek, West Ten Mile Creek, Snake River, <br />Soda Creek, and MeadOW Creek; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board does hereby designate <br />and approve as storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins those <br />areas as delineated by Zone A in the FlOOd Insurance Study contin- <br />gent upon the understanding that Summit County will regulate the <br />storm and floodwater runoff channels (Zone A) on a case-by-case <br />basis subject to a detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analysis by <br />a prOfessional engineer; and ' <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the secretary of the Board is <br />directed to send, a certified copy of this resolution to the Board <br />of County commissioners of Summit County, the Town of Breckenridge, <br />the Town of Frisco, the Town of Silverthorne, and the Federal <br />Insurance Administration. <br /> <br />C E R T I K I CAT ~ <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of <br />a resolution adopted by a majority vote of the members of the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular session assembled at <br />Denver, Colorado, on the 2nd day of December, 1980, at which a <br />quorum was present. <br /> <br />
