<br />WHEREAS, the Baard .ofCoun'tYCOrninissianersafsummit caunty'
<br />has ,requested, the Colorado Water ,Conservation Baard to designate
<br />andapprave theflaodplain and flood-prone areas 'as set fOrth in
<br />the aforesaid report; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, section 37~60-106(1), COlorado Revised Statutes
<br />1973, requires the calOr ado Water, Conservation Board, to assist in
<br />the preventioriof floods and flood dainagestherefrom; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colarada Revised
<br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris-
<br />dictions may provide zoning regulations fOr land uses on Or along
<br />any storm .or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designa-
<br />tion and approval by the ColoradO Water Canservation Board; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS,' the Board of Commissianers .of Sunimit county have
<br />stated that they will regulate the storm and floodwater runoff
<br />channels (zone A) on a case-by-case basis subject taa detailed
<br />hydrologic and hydraulic analysis by a professional engineer; and
