<br /> <br />FPR 04-574 <br />Ralston Creek and Leyden Creek FHAD <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />September 14, 2004 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />PREVIOUS FLOODPLAIN INFORMATION <br />WHEREAS, the CWCB has designated previous floodplain information for Jefferson <br />County and the City of Arvada containing 100-year floodplain delineations for portions of Ralston <br />and Leyden Creeks; and <br /> <br />FLOODPLAIN INFORMATION TO BE DESIGNATED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Boyle Engineering Corporation, on behalf of the Urban Drainage & Flood <br />Control District, Jefferson County and the City of Arvada, completed a new report entitled "Flood <br />Hazard Area Delineation, Ralston Creek - Leyden Creek" dated June 2004; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report contains detailed floodplain information for portions of <br />Ralston and Leyden Creeks within Jefferson County and the City of Arvada; and <br /> <br />LOCAL REOUEST FOR DESIGNATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District requested CWCB designation and <br />approval of said new report, by letter dated August 25, 2004, for the studied streams contained in said <br />new report dated June 2004 within Jefferson County and the City of Arvada; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Jefferson County and the City of Arvada coordinated directly with the Urban <br />Drainage & Flood Control District regarding said new report and endorse the study results; and <br /> <br />C.R.S. AUTHORITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that <br />legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any <br />storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board; and <br />
