This section requires that
notice of a final determination shall be s,mt: to the community's Chief Executive
Officer and the State Coordinating Agency, and shall be published in the Federal
Register.

As explained in our notification letter dated April 26" 1984, we have determined
that your community meets our criteria for ccmversion into the Regular Program
as minimally flood prone. That letter transmitted a review copy of the Flood
Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) produced from the previously issued Flood Hazard
Boundary Map for your community, and requested that you submit any comments
regarding its flood hazard delineations within 30 days. Because we have not
received any comments from you, the final flood hazard determination will
appear unchanged on the final FIRM. Copies of the final FIRM will be forwarded
to you approximately 3 weeks prior to the E!ffective date cited above.

This action to convert your community to the Regular Program is being taken
on the basis that your community's Special Flood Hazard Area (SmA) is small
in size, with minimal flooding problems, and is unlikely to be developed in
the foreseeable future. In the event, however, that your community should
experience unexpected pressure for development in this area, you are required
to regulate any new construction in the S~IA designated on the FIRM for your
community in accordance with the flood plain management standards contained
in Section 60.3 (b) of the National Flood Xnsurance Program regulations.
If your community has not already submitted evidence to the Federal Emergency
Management Agency that it has adopted standards to meet this program requirement,
we request that you do so within 90 days of receipt of this letter so that
our records can properly reflect your community's commitment to minimize or
reduce future flood losses through the wise Management of its floc~ plains.
