WHEREAS. Section 37-60-106(1)(c). Colorado Revised Statutes.
directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and
approve storm or floodwater tunoff channels or basins and to
make such designations available to legislative bodies of local
jurisdictions: and

WHEREAS. An Agreement has been entered into between the
Urban Drainage and Flood COntrol District and the City of
Westminster to assure the flQod routing capability of Stanley
Lake Reservoir as directed by the Colorado Water Conservation
Board at its January 23. 1987. meeting: and

WHEREAS. An Agreement has been entered into between the
Urban Drainage and Flood Control District. the City of
Broomfield. and the City of Westminster to assure the flood
routing capability of Great ~estern Reservoir as directed by
the Colorado Water Conservati()n Board at its January 23. 1987.
meeting: and

WHEREAS. the staff of the Board has reviewed said revised
information and data and does hereby recommend to the Colorado
Water Conservation Board that the Board designate and approve
as floodplain areas those areas inundated by a lOO-year flood
(intermediate regional flood) as described by the floodwater
surface elevations and profil~s in said new report. and further
recommends that the portion ()f the floodplain designation for
Big Dry Creek downstream of Interstate Highway 25. as approved
by Resolution No. 23. adopted July 11. 1973. be rescinded:

NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water
Conservation Board in regulQr meeting assembled in Denver.
Colorado. this 1st day of OCtober. 1987. that it does he reby
amend its resolution of January 23. 1987. Resolution ,No. 271.
for the designation and apProval as floodplain areas those
areas described as being inundated by a lOo-year flood as
described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in
said new report. dated November. 1986. and does hereby rescind
that said portion ot Resolution No.23. dated July 11. 1973: and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Agreement No. 86-10.04 dated
Apri'l' 21 . -19-81., and -Ag,['eement No. 8,7-02..02, July 14. ,19R7. be
attachments hereto: and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is
directed to send a certified copy of this reljolution to the
Board of County Commissioners of Adams County. the City of
Thornton. the City of Westminster. the ci ty of Broomfield. the
Urban Drainage and Flood COntrol District. and the Federal
Emergency Management Agency.
