the various aspects of operation and maintenance.

Section V presents a legal review of each of the plans outlined

in Section IV. Included are legal opinions of the inherent liabilities

involved for each plan including right-of-way acquisition prohlems,

channel maintenance responsibilities, and channel improvement cost

responsibilities.

Section VI along with Volume 2, Drawings presents the preliminary

design of the selected drainage master plan. Included is a review of

the preliminary design and present day cost estimates relating to

maintenance, drainage improvements, and other henefits. The Volume 2,

Drawings indicate sizes, types etc. of existing and proposed drainage

facilities, flow rate and velocity at periodical intervals, existing

major utilities, channel bank profiles, IOO-year flood plain limits

and water surface profiles under existing and improved channel condi-

tions, right-of-way requirements and typical channel cross sections.

Limits of the 100-year floodway in those areas designated by the

Urban Drainage and Flood Control District arc contained in Table VI-I.

The Appendix of Volume 2, Drawings contains related information on the

Big Dry Creek Drainage Basin used in the preparation of this report.

At the conclusion of this report is a list of references,

including a bibliography and persons who contributed information

and opinions. A separate bound volume contains calculated data used

in the preparation of this report and is available in the files of

the District.
