The majority of the projects involved the evaluation of existing storm
drainage and flood control problems and the preparation of storm water management alternatives
and solutions. Typical projects have ranged from formulation and revision of master drainage
plans, to neighborhood drainage studies with preliminary and final design of storm drainage
facilities, to design and installation of long-term continuous water quality monitoring stations.

2.2 Expertise in Channel Hydraulics and Design, Flood Analysis and Floodplain Studies

The professional staff of LA have extensive experience in the conduct of flood related
studies including hydraulic analysis, stable channel design, and delineation of hazard areas
related to riverine flooding. HEC-2 has been successfully applied to fmd solutions to complex
urban problems including divided flow and split flow problems. This experience has been
acquired through the completion of floodplain studies for FEMA, hydraulic analysis for proposed
channel improvements, hydraulic analysis to support sediment transport investigations and
floodplain analysis associated with site developments. Direct project and individual experience
includes the application of the more conventional models such as HEC-l, HEC-2, HEC-6,
DAMBRK and BREACH as well as the two dimensional hydraulic model FESWMS-2DH.
Representative projects involving the evaluation of channel hydraulics, channel
stabilization analysis and design, and floodplain analysis are presented below.

1. Dry Creek Bridge Crossing and Channel Improvements, Cheyenne, Wyoming;

2. Spring Creek Channel Improvements and Hydraulic Design of the Drake Road Bridge
at Spring Creek, Fort Collins, Colorado;

3. East Fork Carson River Stabilization Study, Minden, Nevada;

4. Provo River Restoration Project, Wasatch County, Utah;

5. Hydrologic, Hydraulic and Sediment Transport Investigation of a Proposed Bridge
Crossing over the Little Medicine Bow River near Shirley Basin, Wyoming;

6. Hydraulic Evaluation and Preparation of Letter of Map Revision for Channel
Improvements in Tucker Gulch, Golden, Colorado;

7. Hydraulic Evaluation and Preparation of a Letter of Map Revision for a Pedestrian
Bridge Crossing over Clear Creek in Golden, Colorado;

7
