Discussion of Results

Average surface slope values were input on the SL card to satisfy the SCS
equation requirement for slope input. The output for this sample problem
includes Specific Subbasin Data for Subbasin 1 (page l5 of 18) and the
SU1llDSry of Subbasin Data for the entire watershed (page l7 of l8). The
subbasin averages in Specific Subbasin Data reflect a weighting of land use
values based on the amount of subbasin coverage for a particular land use
category. On the page of Specific Subbasin Data, the subbasin area is de-
fined by the following units: acres, square miles and number of grid cells.
The next to last page of output, Summary of Subbasin Data, summarizes cal-
culated and input data for each subbasin. Of the SU1llDSry data, the subbasin
lag, the subbasin area, and the average curve number can be transferred to
temporary storage for input to ATODTA, if desired.

Exhibit 3-3
2 of l8
