<br /> <br />Roy RolOO' <br />Governor <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />H 0 NOR A R Y PRO C LAM A T ION <br /> <br />COLORADO EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT WEEK <br />July 7-13, 1996 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, emergency manageme.nt depends on the leadership <br />and efforts of public officials, dedicated <br />volunteers, professional associations and <br />private and government employees; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Colorado has experienced the physical <br />emotional consequences of the loss of life <br />damage to property caused by disasters of <br />types; and <br /> <br />and <br />and <br />all <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the capability to respond to emergencies and <br />disasters to minimize loss of life, suffering <br />and property damage can be achieved through a <br />strong comprehensive emergency management <br />system; and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by being informed and prepared and by heeding <br />warning and taking proper protective action, <br />the people of Colorado can reduce the loss of <br />life and damage to property when natural or <br />technological events threaten them; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Natural Hazards Center Workshop and the Big <br />Thompson Symposium will be held in Colorado on <br />July 7-13, 1996; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, Roy Romer, Governor of Colorado, <br />proclaim July 7-13, 1996, as <br /> <br />COLORADO EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT WEEK <br /> <br />in the State of Colorado. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />GIVEN under my hand and the <br />Executive Seal of the State <br />of Colorado, this twenty- <br />~ of July, 1996 <br /> <br /> <br />Roy Rom <br />Governor <br /> <br />-:;,.,.:!.,~~' <br /> <br />. .It.'. <br /> <br />.' /,'.". <br /> <br />;;')" <br />
