Ring levee encloses two residential structures owned by the Stewart family <br />. Surrounding areas to South, North and West are open land <br />. Property bounded by East Street to the East <br /> <br />Flooding 1993 <br />. Water reached the top of the foundation flooding the basement, but never reached the <br />main floor <br />. Levee was constructed due to the 1993 flooding <br /> <br />Levee Construction <br />. Levee was constructed after 1993 flooding <br />. Levee permitted by the Corps, SCS, ONR & ASCS <br />. Levee inspected by Corps after completion <br />. Levee approximately 5' -6' higher than existing ground with concrete toe at center of <br />levee (approximately three feet deep) <br />. Levee compacted using Scraper (Cat) and 3 yard front end loader <br />. Levee material taken from surrounding area <br />. Slope oflevee is vegetated <br />. Levee starts near East Street to South of property and ties into a hill on the Northwest <br />side of the property <br />.
