<br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-l06(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the <br />Colorado Wat<;r CJIl;iervation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages e <br />therefrorn; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide <br />that legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on <br />or along any storm or floodwatet"hInoff channel or basin only after designation and <br />approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado <br />Water Conservation to designate and approve storms or floodwaters runoff channels or <br />basins and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the information in said new report heretofore described in this <br />resolution meets all of the requirements for detailed floodplain information listed under the <br />Board's "Rules and Regulations for the Designation and Approval of Floodplains and of <br />Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); and <br /> <br />NOW, TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED bv the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board in regular meeting assernbled in Grand Junction, Colorado, this 15th day of <br />Septernber, 1992, that it does hereby designate and approve as detailed floodplain <br />information the 100-year floodplains as described by the floodwater surface elevations and _ <br />profiles in said new report, dated December 15, 1989, heretofore described in this resolution .. <br />and rescinds the described study reaches for the South Platte River, Third Creek, and <br />Hidden Lakes Drainageway as described in this resolution; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of tbe Board is directed to send <br />a certified copy of this resolution to the Board of County Commissioners of Adams County; <br />the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District; the Colorado Office of Emergency <br />Management; and the Federal Ernergency Management Agency. <br /> <br />CERTIFICATE <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by a <br />majority vote of the rnembers of the Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular session <br />assembled at Grand Junction, Colorado, on the 15th day of September, 1992, at which a <br />quorum was present. <br /> <br />(- J · -CB <br />, -; --..u-o.. <br />Danes C.
