<br />WHEREAS, Merrick & Company. Inc.. under contract to the Urban Drainage and
<br />Flood Control District, completed a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Hazard
<br />Area Delineation, Westerly Creek" in March 1983; and

<br />WHEREAS, said report prepared by Merrick & Company in March 1983 revised the
<br />floodplain information contained in the report prepared by Camp Dresser & McKee, Inc.
<br />in January 1977; and - .
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Greenhome & O'Marjl, Inc., under contract to the Urban Drainage and
<br />Flood Control District, completed a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Hazard
<br />Area Delineation, Piney Creek Tributaries" in April 1989; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Kiowa Engineering Corporation, under contract to the Urban Drainage
<br />and Flood Control District, completed a floodplain information report entitled "Flood
<br />Hazard Area Delineation, Granby and Sable Drainageways" in September 1990; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said report prepared by Kiowa Engineering Corporation in September
<br />1990 revised the floodplain information contained in the report prepared by Gingery
<br />Associates, Ine. in April 1977; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the Urban
<br />Drainage and Flood Control District in the case of the first Six reports, by the City of
<br />Aurora in the case of the seventh report, by Adams County in the case of the eighth report, ...
<br />by the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District in the case of the ninth report, by the -
<br />Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, Arapahoe County, Douglas County and the City
<br />of Aurora in the case of the tenth report, and by the Urban Drainage and Flood Control
<br />District in the case of the eleventh report, by Resolutions Nos. 49, 68, 70, 71, 73, 74, 117,
<br />153, 228, 301, and 311-91, respectively, adopted on January 14, 1976 in the case of the first
<br />Resolution, on July 27. 1977 in the case of the next five Resolutions. on November 1. 1978
<br />in the case of the seventh Resolution, on January 30, 1980 in the case of the eighth
<br />Resolution, on January 5, 1984 in the case of the ninth Resolution, on July 10, 1989 in the
<br />case of the tenth Resolution, and on January 17, 1991 in the case of the eleventh
<br />Resolution,respectively, approved and designated the floodplains described in said reports;
<br />and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency completed a floodplain
<br />information report entitled "Flood Insurance Study. City of Aurora, Colorado. Adams and
<br />Arapahoe Counties" on September 15. 1989; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said report dated September 15, 1989 has not been approved and
<br />designated by the Colorado Water Conse~ation Board; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "flood Insurance Study, City of Aurora, Colorado,
<br />Adams, Douglas and Arapahoe Counties" revised September 30, 1992 has been prepared
<br />by the Federal Emergency Management Agency; and e
