<br />Newlin Gulch from its confluence with Cbeny Creek to approximalely 2,150 feet upstream of Jordan Road <br />Jordan Road Tributary from its confluence with Newlin Gulch to approximalely 700 feet upstream of Stonegale Parkw,y <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Douglas County, Colorado has requested the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board to designate and approve the detailed and approximate floodplain informatiOn set forth in <br />Table I; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-I06(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide <br />that legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or bjlSin only after designation and approval by <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colotado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins and to make such designations available to lepslative bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the infonnation in said new report for the stream reaches listed in Table I, <br />meets all of the requirements for detailed infonrullion listed under the Board's "Rules and <br />Regulations for the Designation and Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater <br />Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED l1y the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />in regular meeting assembled in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, this 8th day of July, 1996, that it <br />does hereby designate and approve as detailed floodplain information the floodplains as <br />described by the mapping, floodwater surface elevations, and profiles in said new report, dated <br />January 5, 1,996 for the study reaches listedinIable I, except Jordan Road Tributary, and does <br />hereby rescind all the portions of same said stream reaches in Resolution Nos, 68 and 164, and <br />290; and <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular meeting <br />assembled in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, this 8th day of July, 1996, that it does hereby <br />designate and approve as approximate floodplain information the I lXI-year floodplains as <br />described in said new report, dated January 5, 1996 for Jordan Road Tributary and does hereby <br />rescind the portions of same said stream reach in Resolution Nos. 164 and 290; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the SeCretary of the Board is directed to send a <br />certified copy of this resolution to the Board of County Commissioners of Douglas County; the <br />Colorado Office of Emergency Management; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha <br />District; and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. <br /> <br />3 <br />
