<br />WHEREAS, Huerfano County has determined that a detailed hydrologic and hydraulic <br />study should be performed by a professional engineer prior to any development activity in or <br />near a flood prone area; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, this 20th day of March, 1997, that if does <br />hereby designate and approve as storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins those streams <br />within the unincorporated areas of Huerfano County, described by approximate floodplain <br />information in said new mapping dated November 22, 1977, with the exception of those stream <br />reaches as listed in Table 1, contingent upon the understanding that Huerfano County will <br />continue to regulate its approximate floodplains on a case-by-case basis subject to a detailed <br />hydrologic and hydraulic analysis performed by a professional engineer and submitted by the <br />developer or development proponent; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a <br />certified copy of this resolution to the Board of County Commissioners of Huerfano County; the <br />City ofWalsenburg; the City of La Veta; the Colorado Office of Emergency Management; the <br />U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District; and the Federal Emergency Management <br />Agency. <br /> <br />CERTIFICATE <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by a <br />majority vote of the members of the Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular session <br />assembled at Denver, Colorado, on the 20th day of March, 1997, at which a quorum was <br />present. <br /> <br />~Lj.~.- <br /> <br />--- <br /> <br />Daries C.
