This, however, means that up to <br /> <br />1.5 inches of rain, which is near the upper limit of expected quantity <br /> <br />within the peak hour, actually would occur within approximately 40 <br /> <br />minutes. Response to runoff will be discussed later. <br /> <br />The upper limit from summer thunderstorms over very high plateaus (areas <br /> <br />above 11,000 feet HSL) is approximately two inches of rainfall per day. <br /> <br />Th~ peak one hour amount is probably not over 1.50 inch. <br /> <br />-12- <br />
