Kent Rose <br />Town Engineer <br />Vail, Colorado 81657 <br /> <br />Subject: Gore Creek <br />Flood Plain Study <br /> <br />Dear Kent: <br /> <br />We have revised and expanded the scope of work on the <br />Gore Creek Flood Plain Study per the conclusions reached <br />during our meeting with the staff members of the Colorado <br />State Water Conservation 80ard on June 5, 1974. The scope <br />of work foll ows the same general format as outl ined in our <br />1 etter to you of May 22, 1974, but spells out the report <br />format in more detai 1 and estab1 ishes greater detai 1 for <br />some of the analyti cal phases. <br /> <br />We recommend the Phase VI portion of the study be <br />incorporated into the project, since it will provide the <br />basis for judgement decisions on the part of the Town and <br />Eagle County whether certain critical reaches present <br />sufficient hazard and damage potential to justify remedial <br />action. <br /> <br />The Colorado State Water Conservation Board has indicated <br />general agreement to share in the study costs and that the <br />mapping costs previously funded by the Town of Vail can be <br />applied toward the Town's portion of the cost sharing. <br /> <br />If you have any questions or wish any clarification on <br />this proposed study, please contact us. <br /> <br />Thank you for the opportunity to be of service. <br /> <br />Si ncerely. <br /> <br />0l~:~~:V:;!~L l- <br /> <br />Ron a 1 d L.
