In conjunction with this roadway project,
CDOT included hydraulic analysis of several streams that intersect
US-287, including the Wiley Ditch and bridge structures at both the
crossing of US-287, and the next downstream crossing of SH-196
in the Town of Wiley.

CLIENT NAME
Colorado Department of Transportation,
Region 2

REFERENCE
Brian Long, P.E.

Sear-Brown worked in close coordination with CDOT and CWCB
to develop hydraulically feasible alternatives for construction of a
new bridge. Design constraints included meeting FEMA mitigation
criteria, eliminating residential flooding in a 10-year design storm,
and providing a preliminary bridge size that is within the combined
construction funding of the FEMA grant money, local and county
contributions, and CDOT construction funds. The Sear-Brown
Group preliminary design was submitted by CWCB to FEMA to
prevent expiration of the FEMA money. Final Design of the bridge
structure and hydraulic conditions is currently underway.

COMPLETION DATE
2000

~:.THE SEAR-BROWN GROUP
