The $342,000 grant <br />application's Objective was to rehabilitate all substandard <br />housing units and relocate those individuals and families in <br />housing units which were unsuitable for rehabilitation. During <br />the normal review process the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />was asked to comment on the Alamosa application. The CWCB <br />commented during the review process that a large portion of the <br />project area was located in the 100 year floodplain of the Rio <br />Grande as shown on FEMA' s Flood insurance Study (CWCB <br />Designated No. 90).
