;;Ny,

MR. PETERSON:

"I would like to move that the min-
utes of this meeting indicate that the
Tri~County Water Conservancy District
has revised their resolution to conform
with the proposed Colorado River Board
Resolution and that they intend to give
the Colorado River Water Conservation
District the fullest support and coopera-
tion in connection with matters contained
in that resolution."

I

MR. NELSON:

"Second the motion."

The motion passed unanimously upon vote.

MR. GILDERSLEEVE: "Under date of May 22, 1958, I re-
ceived the following letter from Mr. E. O.
Larson, Regional Director, Bureau of Recla-
mation, Region 4:

UNITED STATES
DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR
BUREAU OF RECLAMATION
Regional Office, Region 4
P. O. Box 360
Salt Lake City 10, Utah

May 22, 1958

Mr. R. M. Gildersleeve, Acting Director
Colorado Water Conservation Board
212 State Office Building
Denver 2, Colorado

Dear Mr. Gildersleeve:

I

In our letter of February 27, 1958, and in earlier
letters we agreed to keep you advised of the results of our de-
finite plan studies of the Pine River Project Extension. Inas-
much as you have been over the project area with our technicians
and have attended meetings where problems of project land and
drainage were discussed, we are not reporting in detail here.

After further study and investigation, it is the con-
clusion of this office that Federal development of the extension
lands cannot be justified at this time. A report of the find-
ings leading to this conclusion is in process of preparation and
copies will be furnished you. Area Engineer Crabtree at Durango
is reporting this conclusion to the Pine River Irrigation District.
