UThen I suggest this resolution:

'RESOLVED that the Colorado Water Con-
servation Board requests the Bureau of
Reclamation to take such steps as may
be appropriate in initiating further
studies to determine the possibilities
for development of channel reservoir
storage on the lower South Platte River
in Colorado.'

If that is agreeable to the Board,
I think that will take care of that.u

There was no objection to this procedure.

MR. GILDERSLEEVE: uWe received a resolution from the
Colorado River Water Conservation Dis-
trict Board of Directors, copy of which
is in your folders.u (See Appendix El.

MR. NELSON: uThe Board of Directors of the Colo-
rado River Water Conservation District
asked me to present this resolution to
the Colorado Water Conservation Board and
ask that you consider a resolution along
this line."

MR. MOSES: "How would it be if this resolution
be given to Mr. Sparks to look over and
draft a resolution from the Colorado
Water Conservation Board to be presented
to the Board at its next meeting."

MR. NELSON: "I would think that would be satisfac-
tory to the River District."

MR. MOSES: "Would that be agreeable to the Board?"

Consent of the members was given to handle this matter
in the manner suggested by Mr. Moses.

Mr. Gildersleeve called attention to the copy of a
letter from Senator Gordon Allott to Mr. Philip Smith, Secre-
tary-Treasurer of the Northern Colorado River Water Conserva-
tion District regarding the Resolution passed by the Board of
Directors of the Colorado River Water Conservation District.
(See Appendix F). Mr. Moses suggested that Mr. Sparks could
