This project will involve the final design and construction of river restoration improvements on the Alamosa River
downstream of Terrace Reservoir. The river was straightened in the 1970's, leading to serious instability and erosion
problems. A master plan for the reach between Terrace Reservoir and U.S. Highway 285 has been prepared. This project
will focus on the subreach in the Capulin area. Improvements will include realignment of the channel, bank protection,
weirs and other flow control structures. A Scope ofW ork is currently being developed. It will address the steps of design,
construction, maintenance, and monitoring.

Mesa County - Boslev Wash Feasibility Studv and Demonstration Proiect
Authorization: HB 00-1419 Grant Amount: $50,000
Water Source: N/A Project Type: Flood Control
Location: Mesa County - near Clifton Project Manager: Larry Lang

This project is a Drainageway Master Planning, Preliminary Drainage Design, Floodplain Delineation Study on Bosley
Wash and Stub Ditch with the Grand Valley.
