<br />This $l9.2 million project is the enlargement of the Green Ridge Glade Reservoir northwest of Loveland. <br />The project consists of raising the crest of the existing dam approximately 60 feet, construction of a new concrete <br />labyrinth weir spillway, and new multi-level intake gate tower outlet structure. The City has contracted with <br />Woodward-Clyde of Denver to prepare the final design and construction contract documents. Environmental <br />studies are currently underway with construction scheduled to commence in late 200 1 or early 2002. <br /> <br />7. Riverside Reservoir and Land Companv - Riverside Reservoir Spillwav Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 98-1189 <br />Water Source: South Platte River <br />Terms of Loan: $450,000 @3.75% for 20 yrs. <br /> <br />County: Weld-NW of Wiggins <br />Project Yield: 200 ac.f!. <br />Project Type: Spillway Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project is the construction of an emergency spillway on the Riverside Reservoir Dam, located II <br />miles northwest of Wiggins in Weld County. The State Engineer has placed a storage <br />restriction on the reservoir until an emergency spillway is completed. The Riverside Reservoir and Land Company <br />contracted with W.W. Wheeler and Associates of Denver to prepare construction plans and specifications. The <br />State Engineer's office and the Riverside Reservoir and Land Company are currently evaluating alternate spillway <br />sizes. Construction of the project is currently on-hold, pending resolution of the spillway size and downstream <br />property issues. <br /> <br />8. North Poudre Irrigation Companv Reservoirs No.4, 5 and Indian Creek Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: HB 98-173 <br />Water Source: Cache La Poudre <br />Terms of Loan: $l,107,000 @4.04%for20yrs. <br /> <br />County: Weld-No of Fort Collins <br />Project Yield: 9,363 acre feet <br />Project Type: Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project involves the rehabilitation of Reservoirs 4, 5 and Indian Creek. The Irrigation Company has <br />retained the services of Smith Geotechnical, out of Fort Collins, Colorado to prepare design plans and <br />specifications for the proposed improvements. hnprovements to Reservoir No.5 were designed and completed <br />in 1999. Indian Creek and No. Reservoirs are currently under design. The proposed improvements to Indian <br />Creek Reservoir involve a new 500-ft. long spillway, replacement of the outlet structure, new toe drains, and <br />reshaping the downstream dam face. The proposed improvements to Reservoir No.4 include, relocation of the <br />spillway to the center of the dam, replacing the existing outlet structure and Parshall flume, new toe drains, rip <br />rap placement, and reshaping the upstream face of the dam. Construction of Reservoir 4 and Indian Creek are <br />tentatively scheduled to occur in the Spring of2001. <br /> <br />9. Owl Creek Supplv and Ditch Companv - Hvdraulic Structure Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: HB 00-l4l9 <br />Water Source: Cache La Poudre <br />Terms of Loan: $450,000 @4.00% for 30-years <br /> <br />County: Weld-No of Greeley <br />Project Yield: 30,000 acre feet <br />Project Type: Structure Rehabilitation <br /> <br />The Owl Creek Supply and Irrigation Company operates and maintains l2 miles of the Owl Creek Ditch. <br />The existing hydraulic structures along the l2 miles of ditch, such as; check structures, drop structures, <br />measuring weirs, flumes, gates, etc., have severely deteriorated over the years and are in the need of <br />replacement. The proposed project involves the replacement of 14 major structures, 55 flumes, lO meter gates, <br />and 30 headgates, to be designed by Smith Geotechnical, Ft. Collins, Colorado. Construction is tentatively <br />scheduled to commence in February/March of2001. <br /> <br />20 <br />
