northern extension of it. There happens to
be part of the High plains down in this corner
of the state but we haven't included that in
this particular part. So in that one the
summary of all the other investigations will
be made and some of the data will be reanalyzed 1
and put into information that will be especially _
useful for making legislation in the future,
for making plans for development, for actually
determining the potential source of water and
what it means in terms of long range possibil-
ities of development.

Len, did you have any other particular
comment right at this moment that you wanted
me to cover?"

MR. KUIPER:

"I think at this time, if you would Ted,
we might put the slide on to show the people
here, the Board, the audience, and the Legis-
lators, what these studies have shown to date.
I want to point out that we'd like to use this
slide again this afternoon for some further
discussion of the future into this problem.

As you notice from the map on Ted's right;
this is primarily on a county basis. These
reports have come out by counties and we all
know, of course, that ground water aquifers
are no respectors of political subdivisions.
So this does make more sense, I think, when we
consolidate it and see what this inventory
looks like when it's put together into a con-
solidated map showing the extent of these
aquifers as they affect the various counties.
The various aquifers do not cover the entire
counties, some of them cover only parts of it,
and the yields are different. I think that
will be well illustrated by this slide and
then we can go into that further this after-
noon in the planning of the future cooperation
program.
