MR. STAPLETON:

MR. MILLER:

MR. KNIGHTS:

MR. MILLER:

MR. KNIGHTS:

MR. MILLER:

It is actively under consideration now and in
the preparation of a definite plan report.
It is an authOrized unit under the Missouri
Basin project. It is handled by our McCook
office and during the month a field inspection
of the wray Reservoir site was made. The
feasibility report of this project, under
which it was authorized, was completed in 1940
so it will take some review and updating. This
reservoir site, incidentally, is about four
miles west of the town of Wray.

1

I believe, Mr. Chairman, that completes
my verbal report. If there are any questions
I'll be glad to try and answer them. Thank
you."

"Thank you, Jim. Are there any questions
on Region 7's report from members of the Board?"

"Jim, do you have any idea of the capacity
of storage available immediately below Denver?"

"Dave, we don't have as to the physical
capacity available. We have some pretty good
ideas as to the capacity that could be used,
water supply wise, but we have not made the
physical examination recently of the topography
and the area in which we might get it. No
doubt it would be an offstream reservoir."

"How much water could be stored at that
point?"

"That's almost the same question you just
asked me. As I said, there will be an increase
in the supply of about l60,000 acre-feet. Now
to equate that and work it into the thing as a
whole will depend upon the topography and the
capacities that we may find to be available.
There can be out there possibly as much as
200,000 acre-feet."

I

"Does this indicate that the answer to the
third reservoir will further delay a decision
of the choice between Narrows and Weld County?"
