this thing and perhaps you can corne up with
an unanimity of action of all the agencies
which does exactly what you want it to do
rather than having one agency or one board
do something without knowing how, or why,
it affects another agency or another board.

You ought to give those other boards,
like Fish and Game and the Mineral Resources
and various other agencies, an opportunity
to talk with you and explain their point of'
view and it might be you are absolutely in
agreement or it might not. It might result
in your tempering your action at a latei.-time
and there is no reason why this can't be done
right away.

As you know, we have no Director of.
Resources. It is impossible to have one
because the amendment proposed that would
have given us the opportunity to appoint
a Director to get this job donewas defeated.
Now this just leaves me with the obligation
of being the Director of Resources myself,
and I have no place to put it but I think
within a relatively short time we should get
these Boards together and then work this
thing out on a common basis without having
to do it now."

that would be satisfactory. I was under the
impression that something should be done'
immediately, and I was thinking, my motion
was directed toward the Wilderness Bill that
is now in the hopper or is being proposed
and which, as it is our duty to conserve
water in Colorado, would be, to my under-
standing, directly adverse to our aims on
water alone.

Now if there is plenty of time where I
there can be a coordinated meeting, or a
meeting held to coordinate the thinking in
Colora~o of all ~he agencies, why it will be
perfectly all right with me."
