J.4'!~

I

Board determines that we should oppose it
as a State, to appear at another hearing
which is scheduled for Friday in Albuquerque.

Now if the Board feels that some
representation should be there, some testi-
mony given in respect to the position of the
Board and, incidentally, the position of the
Colorado Water Congress in respect to this
Wilderness legislation, I would suggest that
someone contact Senator Anderson's committee,
someone who is in a position to do so, through
the necessary protocol, and arrange for time
at the Albuquerque meeting and someone be
delegated to go to that Albuquerque hearing
and present our views.

"I might say, John, that I have been
informed by Senator Allott that he has request-
ed hearings be held here in Denver. Whether
they will be or not I don't know but I presume
they will be."

MR. BARNARD,JR.: "Do you feel then that we should not go
to the Albuquerque meeting and save our annumi-
tion until then?'

MR. SPARKS:

MR. STAPLETON:

"I notice Mr. Moore is here from the
Game and Fish. Do you have any remarks you
would like to make on this bill?'

MR. MOORE:

"Not particularly, because of the fact
that I don't know very much about the
specifics of this bill. Director Kimball
hasn't spent a lot of time on it either, but
I am sure that we would like the opportunity
to work with the Water Conservation Board in
regards to this bill and also the Forest
Service because we have always enjoyed a very
close relationship with them and have had

I
