Board Tour (7:30 - 9:39 am.) <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />The Board took a tour by bus of the canal system under construction which when <br />completed will deliver water from the Dolores Project to lands on the Ute Mountain <br />Ute Indian Reservation. . <br /> <br />17. Call to Order (9:39 am.) <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation Board was reconvened on <br />July 10, 1992 in the San Canyon Room, Cortez Conference Center, 2121 East Main, <br />Cortez, Colorado. Chairman Martineau called the meeting back to order at 9:39 a.m. <br />and there was a quorum. Present were Harrison, Smith, Jackson, Martineau, Sheftel, <br />Eisel, Wright, Meyring, Simpson, and Duncan. Peter Evans, DNR, represented Ken <br />Salazar, and Jennifer Gimbel, AG's office, represented Gale Norton. Absent were <br />Lochhead and Olson. <br /> <br />3. Approval of Minutes., continued (9:40 - 9:42 a.m.) <br /> <br />The Board again considered approval of the draft snmmary minutes for the May 1992 <br />meeting. .The consensus was to defer the minutes to. the next meeting. <br /> <br />e' <br /> <br />15. Instream Flow Rules and Regu1ations., continued (9:42. 10:47 am.) <br /> <br />Steve Sims, AG's office, reviewed changes in the draft rules and statement of basis and <br />purpose. Discussion followed by Harrison, Jackson, Martineau, Sheftel, Eisel, Wright, <br />and Duncan. There was consensus on several suggested modifications to the draft. <br />Sims will work on the new changes and additional sections and bring them to the <br />Board at the next regular meeting. <br /> <br />18. Ft. Lyon Study. (10:47 - 11:15 p.m.) <br /> <br />Gene Jencsok, CWCB staff, reviewed the Draft Plan of Study and Request for <br />Proposals for the Ft Lyon water transfer study authorized by SB 92-87. Discussion on <br />the scope and tone of the study followed by Martineau, Jackson, Harrison, Duncan, <br />Wright, Eisel, Simpson, and Evans. A subcommittee formed by Jackson, Harrison, and <br />Evans was set up to help staff revise the outline.
