<br />. <br /> <br />The Town of Coal Creek is located 2 miles south of the City of Florence. The Town provides water service to its <br />residents through a master metering arrangement with the City of Florence Regional Water System. Coal Creek provides <br />raw water to Florence and Florence treats the water and returns is to the Town of Coal Creek for use. Coal Creek's <br />existing water rights, dated 1884 have heen out of priority give the current drought conditions. In order to mitigate this <br />situation the Town is in the process of purchasing 100 shares from the Union Ditch Company, which equates to <br />approximately 125 acre-feet of which 34 acre-feet is allowable for consumptive use. Total cost of the water purchase is <br />approximately $75,000. <br /> <br />16. Town ofKremmling - Raw Water Supply System <br /> <br />Authorization: Construction Fund <br />Water Source: Colorado River <br />Terms of Loan: $1,689,750@4.25%for30-years <br /> <br />County: Grand <br />Project Yield: 400 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Raw Water Supply <br /> <br />This $1,616,320 project involves the construction of a raw water supply pipeline from the Colorado River to the <br />Jones No.2 Reservoir. The pipeline project will allow the Town of Krernm1ing to access their conditional 3 cfs flow right <br />out of the Colorado River, which will be stored at Jones No.2 Reservoir and used to augmeot the towns current water <br />supply. The project involves the construction of 12,000 feet of pipe, low and high lift pump stations, and low and high lift <br />forcemains. The project was bid in the winter of 2004. Given the cost of the bids to construct the project and other <br />unanticipated expenditures, the Town of Kremmling applied for an additional $689,750 in funds to complete the project, <br />which was approved at the May 2004 Board Meeting. <br /> <br />17. Gueozi Farms, Inc. - Well Augmentation Project <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Authorization: Severance Tax Fund <br />Water Source: South Platte River <br />Terms of Loan: $331,425@2.5% for 30-years <br /> <br />County: Logan <br />Project Yield: 2,000 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Well Augmentation <br /> <br />The Guenzi's currently irrigate 2,600 acres of farmland, by means of flood irrigation and by the operation of 31 <br />wells. These wells produce a summertime depletion of approximately 1,510 acre-feet and a wintertime depletion of 960 <br />acre-feet. This project involves the purchase of a new farm with augmentation improvements in-place and the construction <br />of a new recharge well, 2100-ft. of 12-inch PVC pipe and 4,500-ft. of 2 I-inch PVC Pipe, and various recharge ponds on <br />their existing fann, to cover their depletions. Project is currently under design and scheduled for construction in winter of <br />2004/05. <br /> <br />18. 3T Cattle Company- Well Augmentation Project <br /> <br />Authorization: Severance Tax Fund County: Morgan <br />Water Source: South Platte River Project Yield: 95 acre-feet <br />Terms of Loan: $247,500 @ 2.50% for 30 yrs.Project Type: Well Augmentation <br /> <br />The 3T Cattle Company owns and operates a 10,000 head cattle feedlot 6 miles southwest of Fort Morgan. The <br />facility currently receives it water from I junior well, with an annual consumptive depletion of 112 acre-feel. This project <br />involves the purchase of 5 shares of the Weldon Valley Ditch to augment the operations current well water use. The 3T <br />Cattle Company is considering filing their own substitute water supply plan or joining another ageocy that already has one <br />in-place. <br /> <br />19. Greeley and Loveland Irrigation Company - Boyd Lake Lower Level Outlet Rehab. <br /> <br />Authorization: Construction Fund <br />Water Source: South Platte River <br />Tenus of Loan: $2,844,000 @3.00% for 30 yrs. <br /> <br />County: Larimer - Loveland <br />Project Yield: 37,812 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />The Greeley and Loveland Inigation Company and its sister company the Seven Lakes Inigation Company, own and <br />operate an extensive system of reservoir and canals in Loveland and the Greeley area. The Greeley and Loveland lnigation <br />Company owns Boyd Lake, the largest reservoir in their system with a surface area of 1,750 acres and a capacity of 48,875 acre- <br />feet. The dam is a Class I facility. The existing spillway is a 20-foot long grass swale with really no means of conveying any <br />stonn flowS. The SEa requires that a Class I facility spillway pass 75% of the PMP. The Company is currently in the design <br /> <br />35 <br />
