The Bureau of Reclamation dropped <br />its outflow to 4,537 cfs the same day. The inflows further dropped to 3,269 cfs <br />Monday. The outflows remained constant at 4,537 cfs. <br /> <br />. Navajo Lake's level has fallen slightly - from 6,075 feet June 1 to 6,072 feet on <br />June 13. "We just had a very cool pattern in early June," Ryan said, explaining <br />why Colorado's snow melt had slowed down. "It's going to rebound very soon", <br />he added. "The inflow dropped off but the runoff is not over. Probably in a <br />couple of days you'll start to see the elevation of Navajo go back up again. By <br />early to mid-July we should see it full- just a few feet from the top." <br /> <br />Philip Saletta steps down as conservancy GM: After a little more than a year on the <br />job, General Manager Philip Saletta decided to step down from running day-to-day <br />operations of the Dolores Water Conservancy District. Saletta's last day as general <br />manager of the conservancy was June 7. He has accepted an opening as water utility <br />director in Oro Valley, Ariz., north of Tucson. Saletta's 13 months as general manager <br />followed an 18-month stint by former GM Steve Arveschoug, who left in February 2004 <br />to become director of the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk in Pueblo. <br /> <br />The Town of Durango Considering Filing for an RICD: Reportedly, the Town of <br />Durango is considering filing for a RICD this month, but the stream flows and <br />recreational opportunities sought are unknown at this time. <br /> <br />San Juan River Recovery Implementation Program Coordination Committee <br />Meets: The Committee met in Farmington, New Mexico on June 16. The main purpose <br />of the meeting was to receive committee reports and review the 2006 workplan and <br />budget. Approximately $2.3 million was allocated for monitoring and research, recovery <br />efforts, hydrologic modeling and studies, program management and capital project <br />management. Of this amount approximately 25% goes directly to recovery efforts, and <br />25% to monitoring, the balance goes to research and program management. Program <br />highlights are covered in the briefing document submitted to Congress annually and <br />which is available on the Program website at <br />http://www.fws.gov/southwest/sjrip/index.html via links to the Upper Colorado Recovery <br />Program-Program Highlights. Other areas of focus include updates to the Program <br />Documents, out-sourcing of certain program activities, and implementation of Section 7 <br />guidance. <br /> <br />Yampa/White River Basin <br /> <br />Elkhead Reservoir Update: The Elkhead Reservoir Enlargement Project is now under <br />construction. Activity to date includes the excavation of a significant portion of the new <br />emergency spillway and activity related to the construction of the grout curtain.
