<br />Authorization: Construction Fund <br />Water Source: Cherry Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $15,000,000 @4.75% for 20-years <br /> <br />County: Douglas <br />Project Yield: 16,200 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Reservoir Construction <br /> <br />The Parker Water and Sanitation District is currently in the design phase to construct the Rueter Hess Project for <br />the storage of municipal water for its 7,924 customers. The new reservoir will provide terminal storage for use <br />within the District's existing 8,596-acre service area. The reservoir will be located 3 miles southwest of Parker on <br />Newline Gulch. The proposed reservoir will be a Class I structure, 135 feet high, impoundi.Tlg approximately <br />16,200 acre-feet of water. GEl Consultants, Denver, Colorado, will be putting together the final design and <br />construction documents. Major land purchases have been completed and the project design has bee completed and <br />is ready for bid. Rueter Hess Reservoir is scheduled to commence construction in the summer of 2004 with <br />completion anticipated in summer of 2007. The Parker Water and Sanitation District is looking at securing total <br />project financing from the Water and Power Authority, which would eliminate the need for the current CWCB loan. <br /> <br />22. Mancos Water Conservancv District - Canal Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: Severance Tax Perpetual Account <br />Water Source: West Mancos River <br />Terms of Loan: $5,486,531 @2.80% for 30-years <br /> <br />County: Montezuma <br />Project Yield: 9,000 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Canal Rehabilitation <br /> <br />The Mancos Water Conservancy District supplies irrigation and municipal water within a 13,496-acre service area. <br />The District's carriage facility is over 50-years old and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has recommended <br />rehabilitation of the inlet and outlet canals. The proposed project is to rehabilitate inlet and outlet canals to the . <br />Jackson Gulch Reservoir and to replace its operational shops and headquarters. Design engineering is scheduled to <br />be complete in 2004 with construction to following in 2005. The District anticipates having the entire project <br />complete by 2014. The District has performed test sections with various lining materials to assist in determining <br />the final design package for the ditch rehabilitation. Project construction is anticipated to commence in the <br />summer of2005. <br /> <br />23. Kenosha Trout Club - Lininger Lake Dam Rehabilitation and Water Purchase <br /> <br />Authorization: <br />Water Source: <br />Tenus of Loan: <br /> <br />SB 01-157 Severance Tax County: Park <br />Beaver Creek Project Yield: 156 acre-feet <br />$600,000 @5.50% for 30-years Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />The Kenosha Trout Club is located 8 miles southwest of the Town of Grant, near Kenosha Pass. Lininger Lake, <br />which is used for fish, wildlife, and recreation purposes by subdivision residents, is supplied by a junior water right <br />that cannot be filled unless its consumptive use due to evaporation is replaced. The estimated average annual <br />divertible volume is 110 acre-feet, and the evaporative loss needing augmentation is 46 acre-feet. The Association <br />plans on purchasing senior water rights that are suitable for augmentation. Dam improvements include installing a <br />low-level outlet structure and raising the crest of the dam approximately 12-inches. Leonard Rice Consulting <br />Water Engineers completed the feasibility study. Water rights have been purchased. Dam improvements are <br />currently under design and scheduled for construction in 2005. <br /> <br />24.
