Grand Mesa Reservoir Comoanv - Rehabi]itation of Reservoir No. ] and No.9 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Authorization: Construction Fund <br />Water Source: Gunnison <br />Terms of Loan: $200,000@ 2.4% for 20-years <br /> <br />County: Mesa <br />Project Yield: ],000 Acre-Feet <br />Project Type: Reservoir Rehabi]itation <br /> <br />The Grand Mesa Reservoir Company operates 6 reservoirs on the Grand Mesa to supply water to 16 shareholders <br />for the irrigation of 500 acres. This project involves the replacement of the outlet structures at each reservoir and <br />also addresses seepagc problems at each facility. The project was designed by the City of Grand Junction, one of <br />the major shareholders, and is currently being constructed by the City of Grand Junction. The outlet structures <br />have been installed and the seepage problem corrected at both reservoir locations. The City of Grand Junction is <br />draining the two reservoirs to install the new outlet gates. Project is anticipated to be complete after the winter <br />sngws melt in June/July of2005. <br /> <br />8. Guenzi Farms. Inc. - Well AUl!l11entation Proiect <br /> <br />Authorization: Severance Tax Fund <br />Water Source: South Platte River <br />Terms of Loan: $331,425 @2.5%for30-years <br /> <br />County: Logan <br />Project Yield: 2,000 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Well Augmentation <br /> <br />The Guenzi' s currently irrigate 2,600 acres of farmland, by means of flood irrigation and by the operation of 31 <br />wells. These wells produce a summertime depletion of approximately ].510 acre-feet and a wintertime depletion <br />of 960 acre-feet. This project involves the purchase of a new farm with augmentation improvements in-place and <br />the construction of a new recharge well, 2100-ft. of 12-inch PVC pipe and 4,500-ft. of 21-inch PVC Pipe, and <br />various recharge ponds on their existing farm, to cover their depletions. Project has been recently completed. The . <br />Guenzi's are requesting an additional $]8,000 in loan funds to cover cost overruns that occurred during <br />construction at the March, 2005 Board Meeting. Substantial completion of the project is tentatively scheduled for <br />July of 2005. <br /> <br />9. Town ofKremmling - Raw Water Suoplv Svstem <br /> <br />Authorization: Construction Fund County: Grand <br />Water Source: Colorado River Project Yield: 400 acre-feet <br />Terms of Loan: $1,689,750 @4.25% for 30-years Project Type: Raw Water Supply <br /> <br />This $1,616,320 project involves the construction of a raw water supply pipeline from the Colorado River to the <br />Jones No.2 Reservoir. The pipeline project will allow the Town of Kremmling to access their conditional 3 cfs <br />flow right out of the Colorado River, which will be stored at Jones No.2 Reservoir and used to augment the towns <br />current water supply. The project involves the construction of ]2,000 feet of pipe, low and high lift pump stations, <br />and low and high lift forcemains. The project was bid in the winter of 2004, and was awarded to Duckels <br />Construction, Steamboat, Colorado. The project is currently under construction and is approximately 65% <br />complete. The Contractor has encountered complications with the bore site under the existing railroad tracks to the <br />river, which most likely will require a new bore. The Town has negotiated with the Contractor and the Engineer to <br />develop a plan to address this situation and is currently constructing the new bore. The project is anticipated to be <br />complete by September of2005. <br /> <br />10. Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Comoanv - Svstem Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB-97 -008 <br />Water Source: Lost Canyon Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $300,000@3.75% for 30-years <br /> <br />County: Montezuma - NE of Cortez <br />Project Yield: 4,287 ac. ft. <br />Project Type: Reservoir and Ditch Rehab. <br /> <br />. <br />
