<br />. <br /> <br />CERCLA and Environmental Quality Units. Prior to joining the Attorney General's office, Shpall was an <br />environmental litigation attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice. <br /> <br />Deputy Attorney General For State Services - Renny Fagan. Fagan has been the Deputy Attorney <br />General for State Services since August 2001 and will continue in that capacity. Fagan previously served <br />as Deputy Attorney General for Business and Licensing, Executive Director ofthe Colorado Department <br />of Revenue under Governor Romer, and as a State Representative from 1987 to 1992. Fagan has been <br />serving as the Interim Chief Deputy Attorney General since the departure of Ken Salazar. <br /> <br />Deputy Attorney General For Consumer Protection - Jan Zavislan. Zavislanjoined the office in 1988 <br />working on antitrust cases, became a First Assistant Attorney General for the antitrust and consumer fraud <br />unit in 1992, and Deputy Attorney General for Consumer Protection in 2000. Prior to joining the office, <br />Zavislan worked for the Denver law firm of Rothgerber, Johnson & Lyons, and clerked for Chief U.S. <br />District Court Judge Sherman G. Finesilver. <br /> <br />Deputy Attorney General For Civil Litigation & Employment -Beth McCann. In a cost-saving effort, <br />Suthers has combined the Civil Litigation and Employment sections of the office, thereby eliminating one <br />Deputy Attorney General position. McCann has been head of the Civil Litigation section since 1999, and <br />will now add the employment duties to her responsibilities. McCann previously served as Manager of <br />Safety for the City of Denver, as a Chief Deputy District Attorney in Denver, and in private practice. <br />McCann also clerked for U.S. District Court Judge Sherman G. Finesilver. <br /> <br />Deputy Attorney General For Business And Licensing - Diana Black began in the Business and Licensing <br />Section in 1996 representing a variety oflicensing boards. She became the First Assistant for the Medical <br />Unit in 2001, supervising attorneys that represent the Boards of Medical Examiners, Nursing, Examiners <br />of Nursing Home Administrators, Podiatrists and Acupuncturist. Prior to joining the Attorney General's <br />office, Diana operated a private law practice in Denver. <br /> <br />## <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />33 <br />
