<br />. <br /> <br />Pursuant to the Interim Surplus Guidelines (ISG). the Lower Division States' consumptive use of Colorado <br />River water for calendar year 2005 will be based on a "normal" condition. The preliminary end-of~year <br />measure for 2004 California agricultural conslunptive use of Colorado River water under the first three <br />priorities and the sixth priority of the 1931 California Sewn Party Agreement \\'QS measured as 3.682 <br />MAF. The target under the ISG for the end of2003 \\.'aE 3.740 maf. thus California \\'35 in substantial <br />compliance with the ISG. Tracking oruse in 2005 is shown belo\'... with forecasted uses at the end of <br />2005 of approximately 3.653 ~lAF. February 25. 2005: This suit involves the United States, <br />Fort Yuma-Quechan Indian Tribe and parties in Arizona and California. Generally this settlement <br />resolns the boundary of the Fort Yuma Reservation and pro\'ides for 20,000 AF ofdi\'ersions for use on <br />2,998.5 acres in California. Furthermore. any unused watcr may be used by i\tWD. A similar agreement <br />was reached with Arizona parties and the Tribe tixing the reservation boundary and providing 6.350 AF <br />of water to the Tribe. These agreements now go the Special ~taster and then to the U.S. Supreme Court. <br /> <br />American Public Power Association (APPA) Resolution: The APPA recently passed a resolution <br />urging Reclamation and the Western Area Power administration to implement: (I)cost-cutting measures <br />and strategies to improve the status of the Colorado River Basin Fund; (2) stabilize the: CRSP power rale. <br />and (3) work in partnership with CRSP customers to dc\'elop operational, financial and rate-setting <br />strategies 10 address drought situations. <br />- - <br />;'\ew Cameo Call Web Site: The five water agencies in Ihe Grand Valley that are commonly referred to <br />as the Cameo Call. one of the largest and most senior water rights on the mainstem Colorado River. have <br />a new wcbsite that provides infornlation about their operations.
