Dean Crawford reported that Mr. Nelson was the member
attending the National Reclamation Association meeting
to be held in Phoenix November 6, 7 and 8, along with
Governor Edwin C. Johnson, Felix L. Sparks and himself.
He explained that as suggested at the last meeting of
the Board, the member attending was selected on the
basis of seniority and availability. Mr. Crawford also
answered the Governor's questions as to the amount of
money in the Board's budget available to cover such ex-
pense by saying that there was from $600 to $800 that
would be available this fiscal year.

Mr. Lew Williams introduced Mr. Fred Kroeger
of Durango who represented the Southwestern Water Con-
servation Board. Mr. Kroeger gave a statement on the
San Juan-Chama Diversion project. He asked that the
Board be very careful in their consideration of this
project and keep in touch with his o.rganization as to
its status. He also thanked the Board for the appro-
priatian of $20,000 toward the Animas-La Plata Project.

"I have one matter I should have
presented earlier in the meeting con-
cerning the Curecanti. The Calorado
River Water Canservation District on
October 15th passed a resolution on
the Curecanti. I should like to give
a copy af this resolution to each
member of the Board and have a certi-
fied copy to put in the recard."
