<br />Pinon Mesa Ranches Community Association' Rural Raw Water Svstem Construction <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 97-008 County: La Plata - W oflgnacio <br />Water Source: Florida River Project Yield: 125 ac.ft. <br />Terms of Loan: $206,000 @ 3.75% for 30 yrs Project Type: Diversion and Dist. System <br /> <br />This $345,000 project is the construction of a new rural raw water irrigation and distribution <br />system in La Plata County west of Ignacio. The project consists of construction of a concrete diversion <br />structure and pump station at the Florida River, a transmission pipeline from the diversion to a storage <br />impoundment, and construction of approximately 9,000 feet of distribution pipeline from the storage <br />impoundment to the water users. RMI Environmental Services of Farmington, New Mexico prepared the <br />project design. Project construction commenced September 2, 1997 by RMI Environmental Services of <br />Farmington, New Mexico (a designlbuild contractor). The project is currently 70% complete and <br />continues to be on indefinite hold due to financial problems. <br /> <br />Projects Under Design <br /> <br />Windsor Reservoir and Canal Companv - Various Canal and Reservoir Rehabilitations <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 96-153 County: Larimer- N. ofF!. Collins <br />Water Source: Cache La Poudre Project Yield: 30,000 ac. ft. <br />Terms of Loan: $2,357,000 @4.15% for 30 years Project Type: Canal/Res. Rehabilitation <br /> <br />In 1995 the Windsor Reservoir and Canal Company retained the services of Smith Geotechnical <br />to evaluate the current condition of their 25 miles of canal and 6 reservoirs. Smith Geotechnical <br />identified approximately $3,400,000 in recommended improvements, with a proposed design and <br />construction time frame of 15-years. The projects identified consisted of the Poudre Valley Canal, <br />Cobb Lake Pipeline and OutletlInlet Structures, Windsor Reservoir No.8, Annex No.8 and Elder <br />Reservoir Outlet Structure. The Poudre Valley Canal and the Cobb Lake improvements have been <br />designed and constructed. The design on Annex No.8, Windsor No.8 and Elder Reservoir are currently <br />underway, with construction planned to commence in the fall of2000. Construction may consist of 1, 2 <br />or a1l3-reservoir projects, depending on the direction of the Ditch Company. <br /> <br />Pine River Canal Companv - Pine River Canal Rehabilitation at Tunnel Hill <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 99-173 County: La Plata - SE oflgnacio <br />Water Source: Pine River Project Yield: 71,000 acre feet <br />Terms of Loan: $243,000 @ 3.5% for 20 yrs. Project Type: Canal Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This $325,000 project is the rehabilitation of the Pine River Canal at the Tunnel Hill site, located <br />8 miles southeast of Ignacio. The project consists of replacing a water supply tunnel in poor condition, <br />with approximately 700 lineal feet of 72-inch diameter concrete pipe, bypassing the tunnel completely. <br />The Natural Resource Conservation Service has completed the design plans with CWCB staff <br />completing the construction bid documents. The Pine River Canal Company is currently obtaining bids <br />to complete the work. Construction is tentatively scheduled to commence in April 2000. <br /> <br />Rvan Gulch Reservoir Companv - Rvan Gulch Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 99-173 County: Larimer - S. of Loveland <br />Water Source: Big Thompson River Project Yield: 645 ac.ft. <br />Terms of Loan: $317,500 @4.25% for 30 years Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project is the rehabilitation of the Ryan Gulch Dam which includes the construction of a <br />new spillway, lining the upstream face of the dam with a clay liner, sleeving the existing 24-inch outlet <br />pipe, and constructing a new upstream controlled inlet works.
