AND REOUEST FOR COMMENTS

COLORADO RIVER SYSTEM

COLORADO RIVER BASIN SALINITY CONTROL FORUM

[The Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Forum is composed of water resource and water quality representatives of
the seven Colorado River Basin states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.]

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that regional public meetings will be held on August 23, 1999 at
1 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel located at 6101 W. Century Blyd. In Los Angeles, California and on
August 24, 1999 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall in Lyman, Wyoming..

The purpose of the public meetings is to solicit comments and recommendations on the review of
water quality standards and related matters contained in the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control
Forum's 1999 Review (dated June 1999). This report was prepared pursuant to the Clean Water Act
(P.L. 92-500 as amended). Copies of the report are available for review by contacting the offices
listed at the bottom of this notice. The report may also be viewed and downloaded from the
following internet website: http://www.nr.state..!t.usIWTRRESC/1999rev.pdf. After receipt of
comments the Forum will issue a Supplemental' Report responding to comments and providing
additional information as may be necessary. The Supplemental Report will be available in
November 1999 from the sarne sources.

At the. public meetings, interested persons may present oral or written statements. In order to
accommodate all who wish to speak, extensive material should be summarized and, depending upon
. the number who wish to be heard, a time limitation may be imposed by the meeting officer. To the
extent possible, statements should be prepared in writing and submitted at or prior to the public
meetings. Written comments other than those presented at the public meeting may be submitted
through the Colorado Water Conservation Board or directly to Mr. Jack A. Barnett, Executive
Director, 106 West 500 South, Suite 101, Bountiful, Utah 84010. The deadline for submitting
written statements is August 20, 1999
